Our private label process is designed for clarity — you know exactly where you are at every stage, and nothing moves to the next step without your approval.

Initial Briefing & Product Selection

Tell us what you want to launch: product category, target market, positioning (premium vs. economic), fragrance preferences, and your estimated monthly volume. We'll recommend the right base formulas and packaging options, or work from your existing spec sheet if you have one.

Formula & Packaging Proposal

We present you with 2–3 formula options with cost breakdowns, packaging formats (bottle sizes, carton configurations, label dimensions), and a sample production timeline. You select or request adjustments. No commitment required at this stage — this is purely decision support.

Sample Production & Approval

We produce pre-production samples and ship them via DHL or FedEx to your location. You test the product, evaluate the packaging, and confirm the formula. This step is non-negotiable — we do not begin full production without your written sample approval. Adjustments can be requested at this stage.

Full Production Run

Upon sample approval and 30% deposit receipt, your order enters production. Your brand label is applied, cartons are packed to export specifications, and batch records are maintained throughout. You receive production progress updates and are notified immediately upon completion.

QC, Export Documentation & Shipping

Every batch passes final quality control inspection before packaging. Upon clearance, we prepare your complete export documentation pack — commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, health certificate, certificate of analysis. Balance payment is received, and your goods ship FOB Alexandria or CIF your destination port.

Formulation

We develop or adapt product formulas to meet your market's performance expectations, regulatory requirements, and price positioning. Base formulas available immediately — custom development from 2–3 weeks.

Label & Packaging Design Support

You supply your brand artwork, or we can guide you to a local design partner. We accept artwork in AI, PDF, or EPS format. We provide print-ready label dimensions and packaging templates.

Packaging Procurement

We source bottles, caps, labels, cartons, and outer packaging from our established supplier network. You benefit from our bulk purchasing rates — no markup on packaging procurement.

Quality Control

Every batch is tested against an agreed specification sheet. Batch records are maintained and provided upon request. Third-party testing can be arranged for regulatory compliance purposes.

Export Documentation

Complete export documentation pack: commercial invoice, packing list, COO, health certificate, certificate of analysis. Additional documents (SASO, KEBS, NAFDAC support letters) available on request.

Freight Coordination

We work with your freight forwarder or recommend our established partners. Full FCL and LCL shipments from Alexandria and Port Said. We confirm loading and provide tracking until vessel departure.

Private Label FAQ

Do I need to provide my own formula, or can you develop one for me?
Both options are available. Most clients use our existing base formulas (which are proven, tested, and export-ready) and simply customize fragrance, colour, and viscosity. If you have a specific performance requirement or an existing formula you want us to replicate, we can work from your spec sheet. Custom formulation development typically adds 2–3 weeks to the process.
Who handles label design — me or Kachlan Group?
You supply the brand artwork. We provide the label template (dimensions, bleed, safe zone specifications) and accept files in AI, PDF, or EPS format. If you don't have a designer, we can recommend partners in Egypt who specialize in FMCG label design. We do not charge for label artwork guidance or template provision.
What is the minimum order for a first private label run?
Standard MOQ is 3,000 units per SKU for bar soap and 1,000 cartons for liquid products. These minimums exist because they represent the smallest economically viable print run for custom labels and packaging. Repeat orders (from the second run onwards) can be placed from 1,000 units per SKU as label setup costs are already absorbed.
Can I mix multiple private label products in one shipment?
Yes — this is very common. Clients frequently order 3–5 SKUs under one brand in a single container. We coordinate production scheduling so all products are ready simultaneously. Mixed-SKU container orders are subject to each product meeting its individual MOQ.
Will my formula and brand be kept confidential?
Yes. We do not share client formulas, brand artwork, or production specifications with any third party. We can sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing any detailed formula or branding information if required. Your brand's intellectual property is protected.
What certifications can you provide for my private label products?
Standard export documentation (COO, health certificate, COA) is included with every shipment. For market-specific certifications (SASO for Saudi Arabia, KEBS for Kenya, NAFDAC for Nigeria), we can provide the necessary support documentation and factory audit access required for your registration process. These certifications are obtained by the importer — we facilitate with evidence.
